When creating a website, especially a blog where content is being updated on a weekly basis you should really include a sitemap.xml file within your site and register this with Google. Google provides a service called Google Webmaster Tools here you can register your sitemap.xml file to keep Google updated with your content. The sitemap of this site can be found here. This site became listed on Google search within 2 days of launching.
